Coordinate the inspections, to ensure product meets the customer expectation.
To ensure the technical deliverable including non-material requirements are fulfilled.
Responsible for ensuring compliance to the technical requirements of the contract throughout the order execution.
Perform incoming Inspection of all B2B order for material arriving in Gerab DXB premises.
On time MTC review and reports of stock orders for KSA & DXB and ensure compliance to the GSSSM, Standard and the client specification.
Inspection arrangement & TPI coordination of stock orders for KSA & DXB.
Item creation of stock & Job order as assigned by Sr QC Manager.
Responsibilities:
Quality Plans and Implementation
Review and implement the quality standard, quality control plans, procedures and ensure the product or performed services adhere to a defined set of quality criteria or meet the requirements of the customer or client.
Compliance to Quality Requirements
Review vendor quality procedure, quality plan, inspection & test procedure and ensure that order requirements have been identified and complied with.
Review product test reports, test certificates for compliance with order requirement, identify discrepancies and co-ordinate with vendor for early closure.
Procurement Quality Support
Review procurement documents for inclusion of quality requirement.
Provide direction in implementing incoming inspection plan, in-process and final inspection to vendor.
Coordinate supplier deviation request process and provide input for fabrication issues.
Non-Material Requirement
Ensurecustomerapproval ofproduction and test procedure and other technical documents have been obtained prior production or delivery.
Prepare and submit the final documentation (vendor data book) within the contractual time as assigned by Sr QC Manager.
Third Party Inspection
Plan, co-ordinate and manage third party inspection prior delivery for the job handles or for the jobs handled by counterpart in India, ensure compliance to project inspection requirement.
Complete all third party inspection within time to enable material delivery as per contractual date.
Coordinate the testing for the orders handled by himself and India team.
Ensure the inspection related documents are endorsed by the third party and store the records in SharePoint.
Testing & Examination
Identify and conduct test & examination required for compliance of project /contract equipment.
Review inspection and test plan in line with the project requirement.
Select approved vendor, co-ordinate and schedule inspection and testing activities.
Plan and conduct sub-contractor inspection activities and schedule inspection activities and reviews of sub- contractor activities.
Coordinate the testing for the orders handled within the team in Dubai.
Records
Prepare the MTC review reports, Test forms, Inspection Report, Vas Report in Inspection Work Bench and Issue Final Inspection Release note or Source Inspection Release for the material prior to shipment.
Ensure that the MTC's are compiled with lab reports / galvanizing reports and IRC are handover to the documentation assistant.
Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified and retained in accordance with Project, Client and Regulatory requirements.
Maintaining all material/component documentation records concerned with the tracking of products dispatched and sold to customers.
Handling Complaints and conducting an RCA
Investigate problems related to the product quality, perform RCA (root cause analysis), and implement a corrective action to eliminate or reduce the cause.
Support the Sales/Expediting team to ensure the fulfillment of customer requirements.
Health and Safety
Adhere to company's HSE procedures and policies.
The main challenges faced by this role are:
Organizing quality control activities such as pre- inspection meeting, third party inspection with involvement of various stakeholders can be challenging, job requires effective communication skills and timely interaction with concerned parties.
Performing Inspection in extreme hot weather condition in UAE is challenging.
On time review of MTCs and ensuring compliance to the GSSSM, standard and specification is challenging.
FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
Role holder is expected to undertake all QC activities deemed necessary for fulfillment of customer requirements.
Role holder is expected to make & implement decision with regard to product conformance to specified quality standard.
Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
Minimum
4-years of experience in a QA/QC
or inspection role within the
piping industry
.
Strong knowledge of international standards such as ASTM, API, and ASME.
ASNT Level II certification in UT, MPI, and PT (preferred).
Hands-on experience with pipes, fittings, flanges, valves, and other piping components.
Proven experience in arranging inspections, coordinating with Third Party Inspectors (TPI), and reviewing material test certificates and inspection documentation.
Skilled in reviewing client specifications, material standards, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Familiar with documentation control, NCR handling, and quality audits (preferred).
