Quality Assurance Manager - Skincare Manufacturing

Cocoon Cosmetics is a growing skincare manufacturing company dedicated to creating high-quality, safe, and innovative cosmetic products. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality systems and ensure compliance with international standards and UAE regulations.

Role Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee all quality-related activities within the factory to ensure compliance with ISO 22716 (Cosmetic GMP), GCC regulations, and internal standards. This role involves managing the QA/QC team, developing quality systems, and ensuring products meet required safety, quality, and efficacy standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management System (QMS)

Establish, implement, and maintain the site QMS in line with ISO 22716 and local authority requirements.

Develop and review SOPs, work instructions, and quality forms.

Ensure document control and record-keeping procedures are followed.

2. Regulatory Compliance

Ensure the facility complies with the GCC cosmetic regulations and other relevant legal requirements.

Prepare for and manage internal/external inspections and audits.

3. Product Quality Control

Establish quality control lab & oversee raw material, in-process, and finished product testing.

Approve or reject raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and final products.

Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

4. Supplier Quality

Approve and evaluate suppliers.

Manage incoming material specifications and certificates of analysis.

5. Training & Team Development

Train and coach production and QC staff on GMP and quality procedures.

Build a culture of quality awareness across the facility.

6. Batch Release & Documentation

Review batch manufacturing records.

Ensure proper traceability of materials and products.

Authorize final product release for sale.

7. Continuous Improvement
Implement process improvements to reduce defects and increase efficiency.

Monitor and analyze quality KPIs.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Zero critical audit findings.

On-time completion of quality investigations.

Compliance rate of staff training.

Batch rejection rate below target.

Education

:

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field .

Experience

:

Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance/Control, preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or personal care products.

At least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of ISO 22716 (Cosmetic GMP).

Familiarity with physico-chemical testing methods for cosmetics.

Understanding of regulatory submission requirements for cosmetics in UAE.

Knowledge of risk management and CAPA systems.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Analytical and problem-solving ability.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work in a small team and multitask.

Other Requirements:

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Fluent in Arabic and good command of English.

High integrity and commitment to quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
