JOB DESCRIPTION

• Implement quality standards in all work areas, stores, receiving and disposal areas to always adhere to required hygiene standards.
• Determining, negotiating and agreeing in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications
• Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers
• Investigating and setting standards for quality, health and safety
• Responsible for effective and efficient maintenance of records.
• Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both national and international level
• Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems and procedures
• Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance/quality
• Monitoring performance, inspection and supervising the relevant staff.
• Maintain, monitors, assists and performs all procedures and protocols for maintaining an excellent sanitation and hygienic environment
• Continually liaises with external agencies (laboratory and government authorities etc.)
• Carry out quality assessment measures of all the products ready to be shipped and incoming raw materials.
• Reject all the incoming raw materials fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue to the concerned department at the earliest Resolving quality-related issues adhering to deadlines.
• Provide training to the production and relevant team members.
• Perform tests on water to detect harmful microorganisms and to obtain information about sources of pollution and contamination as per SOP.
• Examine physiological, morphological and cultural characteristics using microscope to identify and classify microorganisms in water specimens.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations based upon research outcomes.
• Physical and chemical parameters of water samples.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or equivalent relevant qualifications
• 5-10 years of experience as QAQC (Preferably in bottled water industry)
• Vast experience in laboratory, Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience
• Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
• Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
• Experience in Calibration and maintenance of equipment as per SOP.
• Highly skilled in Microbiology Terminology and Techniques.
• Expert in physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of water portability testing as per GSO/ISO/HACCP standards.
• Knowledge about the relevant regulatory requirements e.g. GSO, ISO, HACCP etc.
• Extra Certifications will be added extra advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma, HACCP Implementation, ISO etc.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
• Should be fluent in English language

Remuneration & Reporting:

• Reporting to: Production Manager/General Manager
• Salary Range: 400 to 500 OMR (As per experience & capability)
• Sharing bachelor accommodation and food will be provided
• Medical Insurance & Group Life/WC will be provided
• Annual Paid leave for 30 days & Return Air Ticket to home country would be given once in a year.
• Working days: 6 days a week with Friday OFF.
• Job Location: Al Khoud, Muscat, Oman (Omani Employment Visa will be provided)

Job Type: Full-time Salary: RO400.000 - RO500.000 per month Ability to commute/relocate:

• Muscat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
