Job Summary: Looking for a QS Engineer in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Job Key Details:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for proposed projects based on architectural and engineering plans, materials, labor, equipment, as well as other factors, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes and negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors
Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications to determine the required quantities of materials and resources for each project phase
Review tender drawings and specifications in conjunction with technical manager to determine scope of works to produce estimate
Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities
Implement effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring expenses, and highlighting areas of concern to project stakeholders
Develop and maintain project budgets, providing regular cost reports and updates to project stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to quantity surveying and construction projects
Carry out any other related tasks as may be required

Job Qualifications and Experience

The applicant must have a Civil Engineering Degree or its equivalent
At least 2 years of experience in the field of fa\xc3\xa7ade estimation
Familiarity with Architectural Glass, Curtain wall, Cladding systems, with UCW is a priority
Good Ms Office suite knowledge required
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD will be a great advantage
Female candidates are required
