Position Overview

:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in MEP works in the UAE, specifically within the high-rise building, luxury villa, and large residential sectors. This role is essential to ensuring cost-effective project delivery, accurate cost estimation, and effective management of MEP works through each stage of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

:

Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, and budgets for MEP systems for high-rise buildings, luxury villas, and residential projects. Evaluate tender documents and develop cost plans for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Prepare and issue MEP cost reports and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify work completed, and assess quantities and materials used in MEP installations. Review and validate subcontractor quotes and invoices for MEP works, ensuring alignment with contract terms. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure effective cost management of MEP systems. Prepare and negotiate variations and claims related to MEP works in line with contract terms. Ensure that all MEP works are delivered within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Coordinate with the procurement team to source materials, equipment, and subcontractors in line with project budgets. Maintain detailed records of project costs, payment schedules, and variations. Conduct value engineering analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or functionality. Advise project teams on cost-effective MEP solutions and procurement strategies. Assist in preparing final accounts and closing out MEP contracts.

Requirements

:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field. 5-10 years of UAE experience in MEP Quantity Surveying, specifically for high-rise buildings, luxury villas, and large residential developments. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and project lifecycle. Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control for MEP works. Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in the UAE. Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools (e.g., CCS Candy, CostX, or similar). Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of contract types and procurement methods, including FIDIC and other standard industry contracts. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. UAE Driving License is preferred. Civil Defense Certification is an advantage. Certificate Equivalency: from the UAE Ministry of Education is preferred. Immediate joiners are preferred.
