POSITION
QS / Contracts Specialist
LOCATION
Fujairah UAE
The client will apply for the work visa and provide relocation if not local
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bacheloru0027s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or Business Administration (preferred)
• Certification in Contract Management (e.g., IACCM / WorldCC / NCMA) preferred
• Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or other standard contract forms in engineering/construction (advantage)
• Legal or paralegal background desirable (not mandatory)
• Strong drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing skills for contracts and subcontracts
• Knowledge of contract types (lump sum, unit rate, time & materials, EPC)
• Skilled in administering changes, claims, extensions, and dispute resolution
• Understanding of contract law, liabilities, and local/international contracting standards (e.g., FIDIC, UCC)
• Risk identification and mitigation through contract clause evaluation
• Analytical and financial acumen with ability to assess costs, risks, penalties, and align with project budgets/timelines
• Strong interpersonal and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
• Proficient in preparing summaries, leading negotiations, and clear communication

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Minimum 3-5 years in contracts management, preferably in engineering, construction, or technical services
• Experience drafting contracts, reviewing bids, supporting claims, and handling subcontractor/vendor agreements
• Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations and engineering contract structures
• Proven experience working with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale technical or infrastructure projects

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, review, negotiate, and administer contracts and agreements for engineering projects and services
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and project objectives
• Act as liaison between engineering, procurement, finance, and management teams
• Support contract lifecycle management, risk mitigation, and cost control
• Administer changes, claims, extensions, and dispute resolution processes
• Prepare contract summaries and communicate obligations to relevant stakeholders
• Lead contract negotiation meetings with clients, vendors, and consultants

SALARY
AED 7,000 - 9,000 Depending on experience
