QHSE Officer
to join our team. This role focuses on maintaining top-quality standards, ensuring workplace safety, and protecting the environment in all areas of our operations.
Role Overview
As a QHSE Officer, you will oversee the company's quality, health, safety, and environmental programs. Your work will involve monitoring compliance, reducing risks, and fostering a safe and efficient work culture across production, storage, and operational facilities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and update QHSE policies in alignment with local laws and international guidelines.
Carry out regular site inspections and hazard assessments in production lines, storage units, and chemical handling areas.
Supervise the proper use of PPE (gloves, masks, uniforms, hairnets) and enforce hygiene standards in critical zones.
Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, preparing comprehensive reports and recommending preventive actions.
Organize safety induction sessions and continuous QHSE training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Keep accurate records of drills, safety signage, audits, and first aid equipment status.
Oversee safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials in perfume manufacturing processes.
Maintain strong relationships with relevant authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
Coordinate environmental management efforts, including waste control and sustainability measures.
Plan and execute emergency preparedness drills for fire, chemical spills, and evacuations.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are preferred.
At least 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting; cosmetics or fragrance industry experience is an advantage.
Solid understanding of UAE HSE legislation and global safety standards.
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to promote compliance constructively.
