Job Description

Overview of role

Responsible for quality control and HSE compliance in the company's operation (Factory and Innovation Centre).

Specific Duties/responsibilities

1. Quality Control

Prepare and implement the quality control procedures for sampling, testing and control over the design and manufacturing process. Conduct the necessary quality inspections and tests Coordinate and ensure the completion of quality documents for the manufactured products Support procurement in carrying out external / vendor audits. Organise and maintain the calibration and certifications of tools and equipments. Support the HR department in organising and maintaining records regarding qualifications and any other mandatory certifications.
2. HSE

Develop, implement, and monitor company safety policies in compliance with UAE health and safety laws. Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments (JSA, HIRA), and safety audits to identify hazards at the factory and the lab. Ensure all employees and contractors follow the safety policies and standards Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports. Organize and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency drills (fire, evacuation, etc.). Maintain safety documentation, including permits, inspection records, and training logs. Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and enforce safety protocols. Liaise with government authorities (Civil Defence, Abu Dhabi Municipality etc.) for safety compliance and permits. Stay updated on new UAE safety regulations and industry best practices.
3. QHSE Management

Manage the QHSE management system requirements which includes the following

Maintain the IMS manual / Procedures / other QMS documents Organise internal audits Coordinate for external audits Organise the Management Review Meetings including preparation of the presentation and collation of data Ensure timely review and update of Legal register and Business risk register
4. General

Complete all required documentation and work as per the Integrated Management system. Any other duties as may be agreed from time to time with the management

Environment

Works in office, factory and the laboratory. May be occasionally required to visit client sites.

Education, Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree (Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or Equivalent is a Plus) NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) certification is mandatory. Training or auditor certification in Quality Control and Management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, OHSAS). Minimum 3 years of progressive specific experience in QHSE in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Chemicals / Water treatment related industry will be an advantage. Knowledge of QHSE Management Systems. Welding inspection and NDT knowledge
