The QC Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical works in the Solar/PV project -- including installation of mechanical systems, equipment, and structures -- are performed in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and KSA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and verify mechanical installations, such as mounting structures, piping, HVAC (if applicable), supports, and equipment.
Review and ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and QA/QC procedures.
Conduct material inspections, welding inspections, and dimensional checks as required.
Witness mechanical testing (pressure testing, torque checks, equipment alignment, etc.).
Monitor subcontractor works to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test certificates, and quality documentation.
Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
Participate in client and consultant inspections, audits, and project handovers.
Coordinate with site engineers, construction teams, and HSE to ensure safe and quality execution of mechanical works.
Requirements:
Minimum
3 years of experience
as QC Engineer (Mechanical) in Solar/PV or heavy industrial projects.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards, inspection methods, and KSA regulations.
Familiar with international codes (ASME, ASTM, AWS, ISO, etc.).
Good knowledge of welding and fabrication inspection methods.
Certification in QA/QC Mechanical / Welding Inspector is an advantage.
Strong communication and documentation skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
