Job Description

Job Purpose

To ensure that all raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet the company's quality and safety standards as per Qatar regulatory requirements, international food safety standards (ISO, HACCP), and Wooden Bakery's internal policies.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control & Inspection

Inspect and monitor raw materials upon receipt to ensure compliance with specifications. Perform in-process checks during production (weight, labeling, packaging, metal detection, hygiene). Inspect finished products to ensure conformity with quality and food safety standards. Record and report any deviations, non-conformities, or defective products.

2. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and checklists as per company SOPs. Assist in preparing daily/weekly quality reports for management and QA/QC Supervisor. Support internal and external audits (ISO, HACCP, Municipality, Civil Defense).

3. Compliance & Standards

Ensure all production activities comply with Wooden Bakery's QA/QC standards and Qatar's food safety regulations. Verify implementation of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and hygiene standards. Follow up corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for reported non-conformities.

4. Laboratory Testing (if applicable)

Take product and environmental samples for microbiological, physical, and chemical analysis. Ensure testing is performed on time and results are documented.

5. Continuous Improvement

Recommend improvements in processes, hygiene practices, and product quality. Provide feedback to Production and QA/QC teams to minimize recurring issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in QA/QC in food manufacturing (preferably bakery/meat industry). Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and food safety standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformities. Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and Microsoft Office. Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
