QC Inspector
Job Title: QC Inspector (Quality Control Inspector)
Department: Quality Assurance / Production
Reports To: Quality Manager / QA/QC Supervisor
Summary:
The QC Inspector is responsible for examining materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. This role is vital in preventing defects and maintaining the company's reputation for quality.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and final products using various methods (visual, dimensional, functional).
• Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify dimensions against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Document inspection results by completing detailed reports and logs; reject and tag non-conforming products.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards and recommend adjustments to the process as needed.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify the root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and equipment.
• Ensure all quality control procedures and standards are followed consistently.
• Support internal and external audit processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in quality control is a plus.
• Proven experience as a QC Inspector in a relevant industry (e.g., manufacturing, fabrication, construction).
• Strong knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and interpreting technical documents.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) is advantageous.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make objective decisions.
