Job Description

QC Engineer - Automobile industry

  • Develop and implement quality control plans for automotive manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products, using various inspection tools and techniques.
  • Analyze quality data, identify root causes of defects, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality-related problems and improve product performance.
  • Perform audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and quality control activities, including documenting non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices to foster a quality-conscious culture.
  • Investigate customer complaints and warranty claims related to product quality, determining the cause and implementing solutions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new product quality plans and procedures, ensuring smooth product launches.
  • Continuously monitor and improve quality control processes, seeking opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness gains.
QC in process engineer - Automobile industry
  • Oversee and optimize in-process quality control procedures within automotive manufacturing, ensuring adherence to stringent industry standards and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis of production defects, implementing corrective actions and preventative measures to minimize recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and suppliers, to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain detailed inspection plans, utilizing statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and analyze production data.
  • Lead the implementation of new quality control methodologies and technologies, such as automated inspection systems and data analytics tools.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely documentation of all quality-related activities, including inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor production personnel on quality control procedures, fostering a culture of quality awareness and accountability.
  • Participate in the development and validation of new product introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring quality is built into the design and manufacturing stages.
  • Conduct regular audits of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in automotive quality control, proactively seeking opportunities for innovation.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong technical foundation.
  • preferred to have certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification, demonstrating expertise in quality principles.
  • Has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control within the automotive industry, showcasing practical knowledge and understanding.
  • Displays excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling the identification and resolution of complex quality issues.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, materials, and components, enabling effective quality assessments.
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrates a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, ensuring the integrity of quality control processes.
  • Exhibits the ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, is essential for clear communication and report writing.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 or IATF
