Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

QC Engineer - Mechanical (Piping)

with strong expertise in piping works and quality control within the UAE construction or oil & gas sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical piping works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, standards, specifications, and project quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and inspect mechanical piping fabrication, installation, and testing activities on-site. Review project specifications, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and relevant standards. Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality procedures for piping systems. Conduct inspections for incoming materials (pipes, valves, gaskets, etc.) to ensure conformity with specifications. Monitor and verify welding activities, including welder qualifications, WPS, and PQR compliance. Coordinate and witness NDT activities such as RT, UT, MT, and PT. Supervise hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing of piping systems. Identify and manage non-conformities (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions. Maintain accurate quality records, test reports, and documentation in line with ISO 9001 requirements. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors for all required quality inspections. Ensure compliance with international codes (ASME B31.3, B31.1, API) and UAE project requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 4-6 years of experience as a QC Engineer in mechanical piping works, with at least 2-3 years in the UAE. Strong knowledge of international piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API). Experience in oil & gas, industrial, or infrastructure projects in the UAE. Familiarity with local authority regulations and documentation (e.g., ADNOC, DEWA, Dubai Municipality) is an advantage. Certified in QA/QC-related disciplines (CSWIP, AWS, ASNT Level II) is preferred. Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and with multinational teams.
