QC Engineer - Factory / Site (Joinery)

Qualification: B.Arch / B.Sc in Interior Design / Civil Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control (QC) Engineer to oversee and ensure the highest quality standards in joinery works both at the factory and project sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior fit-out, particularly in joinery, and a good understanding of quality systems, standards, and inspection protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Factory (Production) Responsibilities:

Monitor and inspect the joinery production process to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Verify dimensions, materials, assembly processes, and finishes during various production stages.

Ensure that all raw materials meet the required quality benchmarks before being used in production.

Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain detailed inspection records and generate periodic quality reports.

Conduct in-process and final inspections of products before dispatch to the site.

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies within the production unit.

Site Responsibilities:

Inspect the installation of joinery and fit-out works at project sites.

Coordinate with the site team and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the approved method statements and quality requirements.

Conduct site snagging and de-snagging, ensuring timely rectification.

Prepare and maintain quality checklists and daily site inspection reports.

Liaise with consultants and clients for material inspections, mock-ups, and approvals.

Monitor work progress and ensure timely quality inspection at each stage.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of joinery materials, production techniques, and installation standards.

Familiarity with ISO standards and quality control documentation.

Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Good command of MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC software tools.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
