Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

QA/QC Engineer - MEP (Fit-Out)

to ensure the effective implementation of quality assurance and quality control systems across ongoing MEP fit-out projects in Qatar. The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with project specifications, company quality standards, and applicable international codes, while supporting successful project delivery through structured QA/QC processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance & Control Management

Implement and monitor QA/QC systems in line with project and company quality objectives. Ensure delivery against QA/QC department goals and quality benchmarks. Manage overall quality control activities in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). Identify quality deficiencies and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Documentation & Compliance

Develop, review, and maintain QA/QC documentation including Quality Manuals, QA/QC Plans, ITPs, Method Statements, Procedures, Inspection Forms, and Quality Records. Review MEP material and equipment submittals against approved specifications and drawings. Ensure all MEP drawings comply with project scope, contract requirements, and company quality standards. Review and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in coordination with project teams and suppliers.

Inspections & Audits

Conduct site inspections, material inspections (MIR), testing, and commissioning inspections as required. Participate in work inspections (WIR) and coordinate with inspectors, consultants, and authorities. Carry out internal quality audits for MEP construction and supervision activities. Monitor suppliers' quality documentation and address inspection non-conformances or deviations.

Project Coordination & Handover

Coordinate with Project Managers to align QA/QC activities with project schedules and resources. Ensure MEP installations and equipment are installed as per approved drawings and specifications. Manage quality processes through final completion, testing & commissioning, handover, and defect liability period. Contribute QA/QC inputs to weekly and monthly project reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. QA/QC training certification is mandatory.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of QA/QC experience in MEP fit-out projects. Proven experience in commercial, hospitality, and high-end interior fit-out work. Middle East experience (Qatar preferred) is mandatory.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV. Well-versed in applicable international MEP codes, standards, and construction specifications. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Primavera. Strong understanding of MEP Inspection & Test Plans, Method Statements, testing, and commissioning procedures.

Professional Competencies

Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Detail-oriented with a structured and methodical approach to quality management. Able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Ethical, proactive, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR12,000.00 per month

Experience:

Middle East / gulf : 5 years (Preferred) supporting claims, EOTs, and delay analysis.: 5 years (Preferred) planning and scheduling roles: 8 years (Preferred) interior fit-out or turnkey projects.: 6 years (Preferred) Construction industry: 8 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:

QA/QC training certification (Required)
