Position Overview
Azizi Developments in Dubai is hiring a QAQC Engineer - Mechanical to oversee and ensure the quality compliance of all mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and LPG systems. The role acts as the focal point for all mechanical QA/QC activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, international standards, and contractual quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and applicable mechanical standards to ensure compliance
• Prepare and implement Quality Control Plans, Inspection Test Plans, and mechanical method statements
• Conduct inspections for installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and LPG systems
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors for approvals and inspection activities
• Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to project quality requirements and raise non-conformance reports when needed
• Verify materials and mechanical equipment delivered to site are as per approved material submittals
• Maintain QA/QC documentation including checklists, inspection reports, calibration certificates, and test records
• Follow up on non-conformances, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed
• Support final handover activities by preparing QA/QC dossiers and as-built documentation
• Ensure all inspections and testing activities comply with HSE regulations

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 8-10 years of QA/QC experience in MEP projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC
• Strong knowledge of international mechanical standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, and IPC
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Strong communication and coordination skills when dealing with consultants and clients
• Able to prepare QA/QC documentation independently
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage
