QA/QC Engineer (Electrical Engineering Background)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

QA/QC Engineer with a strong Electrical Engineering background

to ensure that all electrical systems, components, and installations meet the required quality standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and quality assurance checks on-site or in the factory, reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry codes, safety regulations, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for electrical works based on project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Perform inspections and testing of electrical installations (e.g. cabling, switchgear, panels, grounding systems) to ensure conformance with design and specifications. Review and verify all related electrical drawings, procedures, and method statements. Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve any quality issues. Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test records, material approvals, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Conduct internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality systems and project quality plans. Verify that the work is performed in compliance with applicable codes such as IEC, NEC, IEEE, or project-specific standards. Monitor the calibration and certification of electrical testing equipment. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes. Support commissioning and handover activities by providing quality-related inputs and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience in QA/QC Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent). Familiar with international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE). Certification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001 Auditor, ASQ CQE) is a plus. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications. Strong communication and reporting skills. Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
