QA/QC Engineer
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager / QA/QC Manager
Job Summary:
The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, processes, and final deliverables of the project meet the specified quality standards, codes, and client requirements. This role involves implementing quality management systems, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with both international standards and local Dubai regulations (e.g., DM, Trakhees, DDA).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Prepare and review Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and surveillance of all site activities, including materials, workmanship, and installation.
  • Manage and document all quality control processes, including Material Inspection Reports (MIR), Inspection Request (IR), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
  • Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Client Representatives) for mandatory inspections and approvals.
  • Conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits by clients and certification bodies.
  • Monitor calibration of testing equipment and ensure all materials have valid certificates of conformity.
  • Provide quality awareness training to site staff and subcontractors.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure all quality records are meticulously maintained for project handover and as-built documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience in construction, manufacturing, or related industry in the UAE.
  • Mandatory: Valid UAE driving license.
  • In-depth knowledge of international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, etc.) and local Dubai authority regulations.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CQI/IRCA Lead Auditor, ASQ CQE, NACE) are a strong advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and quality management software.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
