Job Purpose

To ensure all quality control and quality assurance activities in the crusher plant are carried out in accordance with company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for developing quality control procedures, monitoring production processes, inspecting materials, maintaining documentation, and ensuring the final output meets required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for crushing operations. Prepare and update Quality Control procedures, ITPs, NCRs, and Inspection Checklists. Conduct inspection and testing of raw materials (e.g., blasted rock), intermediate products, and final aggregates. Monitor and ensure compliance with ASTM, BS, ACI, and project-specific standards for aggregates and crushed materials. Coordinate with the Production and Maintenance teams to ensure continuous improvement in crushing efficiency and product quality. Conduct sieve analysis and other laboratory tests to ensure output meets required gradation and specification limits. Perform routine inspections on crushers, screens, conveyors, and storage stockpiles to ensure proper operating conditions and product segregation. Identify and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), recommend corrective actions, and follow up on closure. Maintain complete QA/QC documentation, test records, calibration logs, and quality reports. Ensure proper calibration and functioning of testing instruments and lab equipment. Liaise with Clients, Consultants, and Third-Party Laboratories regarding quality inspections and approvals. Conduct internal training and awareness sessions on QA/QC procedures for staff. Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) compliance is integrated within all QA/QC activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3-7 years of QA/QC experience in Crushers / Aggregates / Quarry Operations. Strong knowledge of aggregate standards (ASTM C33, BS EN 12620, AASHTO, etc.). Experience in sieve analysis, flakiness & elongation index, crushing strength tests, and other material tests. Familiar with QMS requirements (ISO 9001:2015). Proficient in preparing documentation for QA/QC reports and project compliance. Strong understanding of HSE practices in quarry/crusher environments.

Skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail with strong documentation abilities. Good communication and coordination skills (English required; Arabic is an advantage). Ability to work in field/plant environments with extended site presence. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Working Conditions

Based at Crusher Site (Outdoor and Indoor working conditions). May require extended working hours as operational needs dictate.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to AED7,500.00 per month
