Job Summary

We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer with strong experience in

both Civil and MEP works

to oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes across all project stages. The role ensures that construction activities meet approved drawings, project specifications, and UAE standards. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in inspections for civil structures, architectural works, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Control & Inspections

Conduct site inspections for

civil and MEP works

as per approved ITPs, method statements, and project specifications. Verify installation quality of structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, drainage, water supply, and firefighting systems. Review and inspect materials delivered to site for compliance with approved material submittals. Identify and report any non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.

2. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation: ITPs, method statements, MIRs, WIRs, checklists, test reports, NCRs. Maintain accurate quality registers for both civil and MEP elements. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports for management and consultants.

3. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for civil and MEP inspections and approvals. Participate in quality meetings and ensure technical specifications are clearly communicated. Assist in reviewing and approving material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for both disciplines.

4. Testing & Verification

Coordinate with third-party labs for civil tests (concrete, soil, rebar, compaction) and MEP system tests (pressure tests, continuity tests, functional tests). Verify test results and ensure all activities comply with relevant codes and standards.

5. Compliance & Standards

Ensure all civil and MEP works comply with UAE regulations (DM, DEWA, DCD, Trakhees, etc.) and international standards (ASTM, BS, ISO). Support internal and external ISO audits and promote continuous improvement in quality systems.

6. Final Inspection & Handover

Prepare QA/QC documentation for project handover, including test certificates, as-built records, and inspection logs. Ensure all civil and MEP snags are addressed before final submission.

. Capable of coordinating quality requirements across multiple trades. Able to bridge gaps between civil and MEP teams to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

5-10 years of experience

in QA/QC roles within UAE construction projects. Strong understanding of both

Civil QA/QC

(structural, concrete, finishing) and

MEP QA/QC

(HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting). Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Excellent knowledge of ITPs, method statements, NCRs, testing procedures, and documentation. Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills. Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
