Job Description

The Role

Performance Management o Set clear performance expectations for QA/QC team members. o Monitor performance and provide timely feedback and corrective actions. People & Talent Management o Promote a collaborative and inclusive working environment. o Build strong relationships with internal teams, consultants, clients, and third parties. o Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of QA/QC personnel. o Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team. Project Planning & Coordination o Coordinate QA/QC requirements with MEP engineering and construction teams across all zones. o Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures. o Ensure inspection and testing readiness aligned with project schedules and milestones. Budget & Cost Control o Minimize rework, defects, and material wastage through proactive quality control. o Identify quality-related risks that could impact cost or schedule. o Provide technical input on NCRs, variations, and rectification works to commercial teams. Quality Assurance & Compliance o Ensure MEP works comply with IFC drawings, specifications, contracts, and authority standards (DEWA, DCD, ADDC, SEWA, etc.). o Lead internal and external quality audits and manage corrective and preventive actions. o Review and approve material submittals, supplier documentation, and certification packages. Risk Management o Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies. o Manage NCRs, CARs, punch lists, and ensure timely closure. o Escalate unresolved technical quality issues to senior management when required. Leadership & Communication o Lead and manage the QA/QC MEP team with clear delegation and guidance. o Coordinate inspections and testing with consultants, clients, and third-party agencies. o Ensure clear communication of quality standards and expectations across the project. Primary Deliverables o Accurate and timely submission of QA/QC documentation, reports, and data. o Completion of assigned responsibilities efficiently and within budget. Secondary Deliverables o Timely quality-related input and technical support to other departments and stakeholders.



Requirements

General Responsibilities o Comply with company policies, code of conduct, and confidentiality requirements. o Ensure full compliance with QHSE policies and procedures. o Submit balanced scorecards accurately and on time. o Maintain supporting documentation for KPI and BSC performance tracking. Qualifications & Experience Education o Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory). o ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred). o Membership in professional bodies (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE) is an advantage. Experience o 2-4 years in a similar QA/QC MEP role. o 6-8 years total industry experience. o Experience on large-scale projects (AED 500M+ preferred). o Experience working with consultants or EPC contractors in the GCC. Technical & Professional Skills Technical Skills o Strong knowledge of MEP systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ELV, fire protection. o Thorough understanding of QA/QC processes, inspections, and testing protocols. o Knowledge of international standards and UAE auhority requirements. Hard Skills o QA/QC planning and documentation management. o Inspection, testing, and commissioning coordination. o NCR management and root cause analysis. Soft Skills o Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills. o Effective leadership and team development capabilities. o Clear communication and negotiation with consultants and subcontractors. Personal Attributes o Ethical, detail-oriented, and quality-driven. o Proactive and firm in enforcing quality standards. o Respected leader with a collaborative mindset. o Resilient, solution-oriented, and able to perform under pressure.
