QA/QC Director

to join our team in VICC in Dubai.

Job Summary:

To provide visionary and technical leadership for the Quality Assurance and Quality Control function across all projects, ensuring that construction quality consistently meets or exceeds design intent, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Director shall drive a culture of excellence and discipline where every project delivered under his leadership reflects top-tier workmanship, material integrity, and compliance with the company's high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the company-wide Quality Assurance and Quality Control strategy to ensure all projects meet the highest standards of workmanship, materials, and compliance. Establish, implement, and continuously improve the corporate Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO and applicable international and local construction standards. Ensure all project teams, zonal QA/QC managers, and engineers operate under unified QA/QC procedures and consistent quality benchmarks. Review, approve, and monitor the implementation of project-specific Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Material Approval Requests (MARs). Enforce strict adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and codes to achieve defect-free construction and first-time quality. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections at site and zone levels, ensuring corrective and preventive measures are implemented effectively and promptly. Oversee and validate quality documentation, testing protocols, and inspection reports for all trades including civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works. Ensure project teams proactively identify quality risks, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to avoid rework and delays. Drive accountability among QA/QC Managers, Engineers, and Inspectors to maintain consistent quality performance and reporting discipline across all projects. Evaluate and approve materials, suppliers, and subcontractors based on stringent quality and compliance criteria. Establish quality KPIs and dashboards to measure zone-wise and project-wise performance, reporting trends to senior management. Mentor and develop QA/QC staff through training, technical workshops, and on-site coaching to enhance competency and ownership. Lead client and consultant quality meetings to resolve complex issues and reinforce the company's commitment to excellence. Initiate and drive continuous improvement programs aimed at elevating construction quality, minimizing non-conformities, and maximizing client satisfaction. Ensure all projects delivered by the company are recognized for superior quality standards, workmanship excellence, and zero-compromise execution.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related discipline (Master's Degree in Construction Management or Quality Management preferred). 20 or more years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the construction industry, including at least 4 years as a senior QA/QC management or leadership role with reputed main contractors in UAE. Strong understanding of high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, and residential construction quality standards.
