Job Description

To operate and maintain the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating machine, ensuring high-quality surface finishes on metal components used in architectural and interior fitout applications. The role is crucial to delivering premium finishes for decorative elements such as trims, panels, handles, and furniture hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor PVD coating equipment for applying titanium, chrome, or other metal finishes. Prepare parts for coating, including cleaning, masking, and loading into coating chambers. Conduct routine checks on coating quality, thickness, adhesion, and appearance. Maintain a clean and controlled environment around the PVD process area. Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment when necessary. Work closely with quality control and design teams to meet finish and color specifications. Log machine parameters, coating cycles, and maintenance activities. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives for coating processes and productivity.

Requirements:

Proven experience operating PVD or similar vacuum coating machines (magnetron sputtering, evaporation, etc.). Understanding of metal finishing processes and surface preparation techniques. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with quality standards in the architectural/interior design industry is a plus. Ability to interpret technical drawings or finish specifications. Good physical condition and ability to handle metal parts. High school diploma or technical certification in a relevant field preferred.
