Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Purchasing / Procurement Officer

to handle all project-based procurement activities for our ongoing construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in sourcing construction materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery aligned with project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services according to project requirements. Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations, and prepare detailed comparison sheets for management review. Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms with local and international suppliers. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability. Monitor inventory levels and track deliveries to maintain efficient stock management. Maintain and update supplier databases, purchase records, and contract files. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures. Manage the procurement of subcontracted works when required. Support vendor evaluation and participate in supplier performance assessments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of

4 years of UAE experience

in procurement within a construction or contracting company. Strong understanding of construction materials, tools, and equipment. Proficient in

MS Office

and procurement software. Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with UAE market suppliers and customs/import procedures is an advantage.
