Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage the procurement strategy aligned with the company's catering operations. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for food products, beverages, packaging, kitchen equipment, and other operational needs. Ensure all purchased items meet the company's required quality standards, including freshness, hygiene, and consistency. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery and reliability. Monitor inventory levels in coordination with the storekeeper and kitchen staff to avoid shortages or overstocking. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, trends, and cost-saving opportunities. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve the best value for the company. Work closely with the Chef, Kitchen Manager, and Operations team to forecast demand and align purchasing with menus and events. Develop and monitor KPIs for suppliers regarding quality, cost, and delivery performance. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements. Prepare regular procurement reports for management, including cost analysis and supplier performance. Control and monitor procurement budgets, minimizing wastage and ensuring cost efficiency. Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, quality complaints, or supply shortages.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (CIPS certification is a plus). Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in catering, hospitality, or F&B industry. Strong knowledge of food & beverage products, kitchen equipment, and catering supplies. Proven negotiation and vendor management skills. Solid understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, etc.). Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
