We are urgently hiring for a Purchasing Officer who will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, and managing inventory of food, beverages, organizing stockroom and operational supplies for our restaurants/cafes. The ideal candidate ensures timely procurement, cost-effectiveness, and consistent supply to meet daily operational needs.

Evaluate and select suppliers for food, beverages, and non-food supplies (cleaning, packaging) Prepare and issue purchase orders based on forecasts and staff/chef requisitions Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory records across all outlets Receive, inspect, verify, store and record delivered goods for accuracy and quality (all food and non-food items) Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO) Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams to anticipate requirements and avoid shortages Issue items to kitchen and service teams as requested Negotiate with suppliers to obtain best pricing, discounts, and payment terms Maintain supplier relationships and review supplier performance periodically Ensure all procured items meet health, safety and hygiene standards Support cost-control efforts and report variances or waste Assist in budgeting and monthly cost reporting Keep the storeroom clean and organized
Qualifications:

Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management (restaurants, cafes, hospitality preferred) Strong organizational and record-keeping skills Good negotiation and communication skills Understanding of food service operations, inventory management and hygiene standards Ability to work under pressure and coordinate with multiple outlets / teams Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) or inventory software Displays good work behaviour and follows proper hygiene practices. Willing to relocate to Al Ain
