Job Description
Job Title: Purchasing Officer
Location: Dubai
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: 2-4 years
Key Responsibilities:
Source and purchase glass, aluminum, accessories, and consumables for installation projects.
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
Issue and track purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery to project sites.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Work closely with the project and site teams to understand material requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse/store team.
Maintain procurement records and reports.
Requirements:
2-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in glass, .
Knowledge of glass types, aluminum systems, fittings, and installation materials.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to read BOQs and basic technical drawings.
Proficient in MS Office and ERP/procurement systems.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred:
Experience working with subcontractors or installation teams.
Local market knowledge of glass and construction material suppliers.
Driving license (if travel to suppliers/sites is required).
