Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive

Purchasing Officer

with a strong background in

textiles, garments, fabrics, and uniforms

. The ideal candidate will have an established network of

suppliers in India, China, and Bangladesh

, and possess excellent negotiation, sourcing, and procurement skills. A valid

driving license

is required for local supplier visits and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, evaluate, and procure textiles, garments, fabrics, and uniforms according to company requirements and specifications. Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas suppliers, especially in

India, China, and Bangladesh

. Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and terms with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality. Manage purchase orders, contracts, and documentation in line with procurement policies. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing. Coordinate with internal departments (production, design, QA) to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement. Stay updated with market trends in textile and garment industries to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities. Conduct local and international supplier visits as necessary;

is mandatory. Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and international import/export regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree

in Supply Chain Management, Business, Textile Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 2-3

years of relevant experience

in purchasing within the textile, garments, or uniforms industry. Proven network and working relationships with suppliers in

India, China, and Bangladesh

. Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment production processes, and textile quality standards. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office tools.

Valid driving license

is required. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in uniform manufacturing or B2B procurement for large-scale textile operations.
