looking for a

purchasing officer

to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required by the company. The ideal candidate will ensure that all purchases are made in a timely, cost-effective manner and in compliance with company policies and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services at the best possible prices and quality. Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods. Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate terms of contracts and pricing. Maintain and update supplier databases, purchase records, and related documentation. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and storekeepers to ensure material requirements are met. Track and report key procurement metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, procedures, and budget guidelines. Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers. Assist in preparing procurement reports and maintaining cost control.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in construction or contracting. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage. Knowledge of local and international suppliers and market trends. Valid Qatar driving license (preferred).
