Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and organized

Purchasing Officer

with a background in the

restaurant or hospitality industry

to manage procurement activities across our food and beverage operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of restaurant supply needs, vendor relations, and inventory management, ensuring cost-effective and timely purchasing of ingredients, kitchen equipment, and operational supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and foodservice suppliers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and quality. Manage purchase orders for food, beverages, kitchen equipment, and restaurant supplies. Monitor inventory levels and forecast needs based on menu planning and seasonal demand. Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and management to meet operational requirements. Ensure timely delivery and quality of goods, and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Track and analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Maintain accurate procurement records and adhere to food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 2-3 years of purchasing experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting. Strong understanding of food and beverage supply chains and perishables handling. Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management/purchasing software (e.g., MarketMan, BirchStreet, or similar). Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

Experience working with multiple restaurant locations or a central kitchen operation. Familiarity with sustainability and cost-control practices in food procurement.

Pay: QAR2,500.00 per month
