We are seeking a purchasing officer with a strong background in foodstuff trading and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing quality products at competitive prices, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure foodstuff items from local suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and manage logistics as required.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor information.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse and sales team.
Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards.
Stay updated with market trends and product knowledge.
Coordinate with accounts for invoice clearance and payment processing.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in purchasing within the foodstuff trading trading.
Strong knowledge of local suppliers in the food sector.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Familiarity with import/export procedures and UAE regulations.
Proficient in MS Office and purchasing software/tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Multilingual (Arabic/Hindi/English preferred).
UAE Driving License is a plus.
