Job Summary:
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for the organization to ensure optimal quality and cost-efficiency. This role requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish purchasing agreements.
Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all purchasing activities.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other financial information.
Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
Ability to understand contract terms.
