Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful

Purchasing Manager

to lead our procurement efforts in support of high-end residential and commercial interior design projects. This role requires deep knowledge of sourcing furnishings, finishes, materials, and accessories, as well as strong relationships with vendors, showrooms, and custom fabricators. You'll ensure that all materials are procured on time, within budget, and aligned with the design vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, negotiate, and purchase furnishings, fabrics, lighting, finishes, and custom pieces for interior design projects. Manage vendor relationships, including showrooms, manufacturers, and custom fabricators. Collaborate closely with designers to understand material requirements, project specifications, and delivery schedules. Create and track purchase orders, invoices, delivery timelines, and project budgets using procurement software or design management tools. Monitor lead times, shipping logistics, and installations to ensure timely execution of design plans. Resolve order issues such as damaged goods, shipping delays, or cost discrepancies. Maintain a well-organized vendor database and materials library. Research and recommend new suppliers that align with the company's quality, aesthetic, and sustainability standards. Work with the finance team to reconcile invoices and support budget reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Interior Design, Supply Chain, or a related field. 3-5+ years of purchasing experience in the interior design or luxury goods industry. Strong knowledge of design industry vendors, materials, and procurement practices. Proficiency in design project management software and procurement platforms. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with custom furniture production and lead time management. Experience working on luxury residential or commercial interiors.
