Job Description

As part of the Purchasing team, to be responsible to procure materials at the right time and quality and price as per the set standards stipulated by the company. Key Deliverables: To devise strategy for procurement of Raw Materials at optimum price. To supervise the efficient management and use of materials. Plan for material as per reorder level or MRP given by planning department (quarterly / monthly). Ensure the RFQ is sent as per the requirements to approved vendors. Advice on the comparison studies of quotation to officers. Negotiate with suppliers whenever necessary. Devise & Monitor inventory control on monthly basis. Monitor shipment Tracker in ERP. Ensure POaEUR(TM)s are raised as per Authority matrix / KPI and reaches supplier at Right time. You will be responsible to plan & initiate cost reduction Raw material /services. Manage existing vendor & develop alternate vendors in line with OCI Procurement manual. Ensure that matched documents (GRN, ERP documents &Supplier Invoice) are submitted to Finance for timely payment. Optimize the inventory in coordination with Planning / Commercial. Ensure purchase officers / Engineers are meeting the job requirements as per the set standards. Warrant the materials arrive on time for the manufacturing plant and monitor supplier performance. Ensure consumption of aging materials (more than 3 months) on time. Ensure the team meets the targets and KPIs. Assess and review the team performance on a monthly basis. Conduct vendor grading annually and ensure it is sent to suppliers. Conduct annual audits with suppliers to assess their ability to supply to OCI. You will be responsible to coordinate with stores and understand the quality and condition of packaging. Coordinate with QC Operations and production. Consolidate MIS Reports on a monthly basis. Job Profile: Qualification: Graduate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. CIPS or any relevant post graduate diploma in procurement added advantage. Skills/Knowledge: Documentation skills. Understand and follow instructions. Understanding of confidentiality and Company Code of Ethics. ERP and basic word and excel. Basic costing knowledge. Attention to detail and strong organization skills. Organization of all kinds of documents. Negotiations skills Analytical skills. Experience: 3+ years of experience in purchase. Business Understanding: Purchase process & policies of the Company. Good knowledge of all the documentation required.
