The Purchase Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the procurement of food ingredients, beverages, equipment, and other operational supplies required for the F&B establishments. This role involves supervising the purchasing team, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with UAE regulations. The Purchase Supervisor also collaborates with other departments to support efficient operations and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating & clearing the issues with the suppliers, if they have any issues with deliveries, quality or any other concerns from the operations
Enquiring about new items and quotations based on the requirement from the operation team
Negotiating the prices with the supplier based on the market study
Develop Reports for the inventory tracking for the shops
Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize purchasing activities and achieve cost saving while meeting the quality and delivery requirements
Coordinating with internal departments for purchasing needs, forecast demand and develop procurement plans accordingly
Monitor and analyse market trends, supplier performance and product satisfaction to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Manage the purchase order process, ensuring accurate and timely purchase order creation, issuance and tracking
Supporting general accounting operations, including journal entries and financial documentation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the F&B industry.
Strong knowledge of sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
Familiarity with UAE food safety regulations and import/export procedures.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and procurement management software (e.g., ERP systems).
Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
