Purchase Officer

. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in

building materials procurement

, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relations and customer follow-ups to ensure smooth purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle day-to-day purchasing operations for building materials. Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

Follow up with customers on quotations until securing the Purchase Order (PO).

Issue and manage Purchase Orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and distributors for MEP, Civil, and Building Materials. Coordinate with logistics/delivery teams and follow up on Goods Receipt Notes (GRN). Ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve any supply or delivery issues. Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements, and payment schedules. Monitor market trends and identify new suppliers to expand product lines and opportunities. Support management with procurement reports and updates.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

2-5 years of proven procurement/purchasing experience in the Building Materials industry (mandatory).

Strong knowledge of construction and building material products. Excellent communication skills in English (written & spoken); Hindi/Urdu is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of UAE building materials market and vendor network is preferred.
