We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to join our team in the construction industry immediately. The ideal candidate will support procurement activities, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment essential for ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials and equipment.
Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Coordinate with the site team to understand material requirements.
Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
Build and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Assist in vendor evaluation and performance tracking.
Requirements:
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
Familiarity with procurement software is a plus.
