Lead a team of 3 purchasing assistants, managing procurement of chemicals, raw materials, consumables, and machinery.
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Oversight
Oversee the end-to-end P2P process, from requisition to supplier payment.
Establish SOPs and coordinate with finance for invoice reconciliation and issue resolution.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
Maintain buffer stock for key materials and source alternatives to ensure continuity.
Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and freight agreements.
Build strong supplier relationships and stay updated on market trends and pricing.
Pricing & Costing
Calculate landing costs, set sales pricing, and manage freight negotiations.
Coordinate sampling and quality checks with suppliers.
Compliance & Documentation
Process and verify import documents, invoices, permits (e.g., environmental, SIRA), and audit records.
Handle petty cash purchases, office supplies, and freight documentation.
Quality & Maintenance
Oversee Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), verify service invoices, and manage QC chemical procurement.
Ensure material compliance with internal quality standards.
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Implement inventory controls and track procurement KPIs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Cross-Functional Support
Forecast demand, coordinate with production and sales, and develop procurement plans for new product lines.
Resolve quality issues through detailed documentation and supplier coordination.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience
in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
Bachelor's degree
in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field (Engineering background is a plus).
MBA or master's degree
in Procurement, Operations, or Logistics (preferred but not mandatory).
Industrial experience is mandatory.
Professional certifications
such as CIPS, CSCP, CPIM, or PMP are highly desirable.
