Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum
5 years of mechanical experience
in the
Oil & Gas sector
.
Must have a
valid Dukhan e-PTW (Mechanical)
authorization.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, PTW procedures, and HSE practices.
Familiar with isolations, confined space entry, hot work, and lifting operations.
Good communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate the issuance and closure of
mechanical work permits
using the
e-PTW system
.
Ensure compliance with
QatarEnergy/Dukhan PTW procedures
and safety guidelines.
Conduct site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments before issuing permits.
Liaise with operations, HSE, and maintenance teams to ensure proper job planning.
Monitor mechanical work execution to ensure compliance with permit conditions.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure proper implementation of
LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out)
procedures.
Maintain records and documentation of all PTWs and associated activities.
Intervene and stop any unsafe activities, escalating issues when necessary.
Support in shutdowns, turnarounds, and other critical maintenance activities.
