Position Overview
The Proxy Product Owner - Open Finance - Dubai, UAE will lead the design and delivery of Open Finance products across the UAE and Bahrain. The role bridges business stakeholders, regulators, fintech partners, and internal teams to ensure user-centric and compliant financial services that align with regional regulatory frameworks.

What You'll Do

• Translate regulatory requirements and market developments into actionable product roadmaps for Open Finance initiatives in UAE and Bahrain
• Manage the product lifecycle, including backlog creation, prioritization, and delivery, aligned with strategic objectives and compliance timelines
• Act as subject-matter expert on regional Open Finance frameworks, platforms, and standards
• Work with compliance, legal, and security teams to embed consent handling, API standards, sandbox testing, and digital identity requirements
• Engage with banks, fintechs, insurers, and infrastructure providers to define use cases and design seamless customer journeys
• Document user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and workflows tailored to each market
• Launch MVPs, track KPIs, and optimize adoption using data-driven insights
• Represent stakeholder needs and ensure product decisions balance business goals with regulatory and customer realities

Ideal Profile

• 10+ years of product management experience in financial services, with specialization in Open Banking or Open Finance in the GCC region
• In-depth knowledge of UAE and Bahrain regulatory frameworks for Open Finance and Open Banking
• Strong understanding of APIs, developer portals, consent flows, and digital identity solutions
• Proven track record of working with regulators, financial institutions, and fintech partners
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams including technical, compliance, legal, and UX experts
• Skilled in defining KPIs, gathering market insights, and adjusting product strategies
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related fields; MBA or advanced fintech qualification preferred
• Agile certifications such as PSM I or CSPO are an advantage
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
