Proposal Engineer
Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Proposal Engineer with a strong background in Static Equipment and Skid Packages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and preparing technical and commercial proposals for EPC and manufacturing projects. The candidate must have a deep understanding of client specifications, industry codes & standards, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver competitive and compliant proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
? Review and analyze tender documents, client specifications, datasheets, and project requirements.
? Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for
static equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks) and skid-mounted packages.
? Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and costing teams for input and estimation.
? Develop proposal documentation including technical write-ups, equipment sizing, costing, and compliance matrices.
? Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for technical and commercial quotations.
? Ensure that all proposals comply with applicable codes (e.g., ASME, API), client requirements, and internal standards.
? Participate in bid clarification meetings and respond to client queries.
? Monitor proposal timelines to ensure on-time submission.
? Maintain proposal database and support continuous improvement initiatives
. Qualifications & Skills:
? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
? Minimum 6-8 years of experience in proposal or estimation roles, specifically in Static Equipment and Skid Packages.
? Strong knowledge of international design codes and fabrication standards (e.g., ASME Sec VIII Div 1/2, TEMA, API).
? Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specifications.
? Good understanding of costing, budgeting, and pricing strategies.
? Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant engineering/proposal tools.
? Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
? Ability to handle multiple proposals simultaneously and work under pressure.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
