Role Overview:
A highly skilled Linguistic Proofreader is required to ensure accuracy, clarity, and integrity across written and media content, including reports, publications, books, official documents, broadcast scripts, and audiovisual materials. The role focuses on identifying and correcting linguistic, grammatical, and structural issues while ensuring alignment with approved linguistic standards, editorial guidelines, ethical frameworks, and UAE regulations.
Responsibilities:
Ensure linguistic accuracy, clarity, and structure of texts titles, names, expressions in line with UAE language standards.
Review and proofread external texts, correct errors, and apply editorial procedures for grammar, style, and structure.
Edit and refine content prior to approval, ensuring consistency and alignment with intended messaging.
Clarify meanings, enhance wording, and ensure compliance with linguistic, ethical, and media guidelines.
Provide feedback to support adherence to established linguistic and procedural standards.
Validate content accuracy and verify information sources to prevent legal or ethical issues.
Offer linguistic support in drafting high-quality external texts.
Review and ensure linguistic accuracy of broadcast materials and published reports before release.
Safeguard the linguistic integrity of audio, visual, and literary content.
Contribute to improving editorial workflows and quality control processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree from a UAE-accredited institution or an equivalent recognized qualification.
Strong command of English and Arabic grammar, linguistics, stylistics, and editorial standards.
Proven experience in proofreading, editing, translation, or linguistic review.
Ability to analyze, refine, and elevate complex content with precision.
Familiarity with linguistic guidelines, media ethics, and UAE regulatory standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to linguistic excellence.
