Summary The Project & Sourcing Specialist is responsible to deliver competitive advantages and drive cost out initiatives to enable profitable growth for the organization. He/She will connect sourcing imperatives with the product lines strategies and to aim at creating One team by increasing collaboration and synergies with different stakeholders in the work location, other functions, regions, and business lines; Involve all Sourcing activities in the Inquiry to Order (ITO) opportunity preparation & optimization; Involve all Sourcing activities in the Order to Revenue (OTR) and implement sourcing process and procedures with value addition. The resource will manage a vendor list based on Global Sourcing strategy and Identify risk & opportunities during ITO opportunity preparation. He/She will seek sustainable competitiveness improvements, supports the regional product optimization initiatives, Involve in the supplier/subcontractor qualification and onboarding process and Manage a vendor list based on Global Sourcing strategy.
Roles & Responsibilities
Define Supplier\xe2\x80\x99s strategy including management and optimization of supplier\xe2\x80\x99s and subcontractor\xe2\x80\x99s panels.
Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers or subcontractors.
Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support and more. This may also include purchasing activities.
Developing in-depth knowledge of business disciplines, using prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
Represent ITO (Inquiry To Order) Sourcing during Tender stage for his/her respective area.
Reinforce the interface between Sourcing and Tendering teams in the preparation of new business opportunities.
Ensure cost and Leadtime accuracy, competitive sourcing scheme and relevant Risk and Opportunity analysis.
Represent OTR (Order To Revenue) Sourcing during project execution stage for his/her respective area. Strong interface with project execution team for successful completion of the projects within the timeline and cost.
Maintain highest level of QEHS standards as per the company\xe2\x80\x99s guidelines whilst interacting and taking decision with internal and external stakeholders.
Impacts projects, processes, and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment but may require more senior levels of guidance.
Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Ensure implementation of Global Sourcing policy (QMS) in our ITO and OTR activities, contribute to cost optimizations and ensure their solidity and scope maturity with his/her regional management and with Global Commodity Leaders.
Coordination in ITO/OTR with the regional commodity Leader and Global Commodity Leader to deliver the best cost and cycle scenario taking into consideration all CTQs.
Highlight and mitigate the Sourcing Risk at ITO stage and contribute for margin improvement at OTR stage
Manage and maintain strategic and close relations with suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 and subcontractors\xe2\x80\x99 along with suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 and subcontractors\xe2\x80\x99 decision makers and key stakeholders.
Work towards achieving or exceeding the yearly KPIs and objectives with periodic update to the line manager and dotted line reporting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Proficiency in English is a must
Minimum 7 years of experience in substation\xe2\x80\x99s executions and Electrical works in a matrix organization
Ability to work in a global environment and matrix organization.
Extensive sourcing experience, excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Advanced presentation skills
Advanced Sourcing methods, including a strong negotiation capability
