Job Description
Construction Accountant Responsibilities: Review contractors\' bills for accuracy and completeness, and approve payment requests. Process invoices, requisitions, and purchase orders. Review, approve, and process payroll, expense reports, and time cards. Research and resolve invoice and billing disputes with contractors. Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Financial Statements, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Tax Returns & Governmental Agency Reports
- Timely, Accurate Reconciliation & Closing of Month End/Year End of Accounting Modules
- A/R Billing & Reconciliations, Cash Management
- Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Schedules to include Investment, Uncompleted Contracts, Gross Profit, Overhead, Fixed Asset, Depreciation & Loans
- Prepare Quarterly & Annual Payroll Tax Returns
- Prepare & Analyze Work-In-Progress Reports & Job Cost Analysis Reports
- Meet with Senior & Project Management to Review Job Status & Performance Against Budget
- Analyze Actual vs. Expected Results, Identifying the Cause of s Variance or Trend
- Preparation & Coordination of External Audits & Reviews
- Coordinate Timely Completion of CPA Review & Audit of Year-End Financial Statements
- Coordination of Worker\xe2\x80\x99s Comp Audit/General Liability Audit. Renewal of General Liability, Auto, Property/Umbrella Insurance Policies, etc.
- Monitor Actual WC/GL Insurance Payroll Exposures in Relation to Estimates
- Claims Administration \xe2\x80\x93 Insurance vs. Self-Pay
- Preparation of Personal BPOL, HVUT & other Annual Returns
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register & Record Monthly Entries for Depreciation, Additions & Disposals
- Special Projects & Assistance with Strategic Planning
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
