Job Summary: As a Project/Site Engineer, you will oversee and manage daily construction and technical aspects of a project site. Your responsibilities will include ensuring engineering designs are implemented accurately, managing construction materials, solving any technical issues that arise, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. You will work closely with the project manager and other engineering and construction professionals to ensure project objectives are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management: Oversee daily operations on the construction site, including supervising construction activities and coordinating with subcontractors and labor teams to ensure efficient execution of the project.
- Technical Guidance: Interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure all construction activities comply with design, safety, and quality standards.
- Problem Solving: Identify, analyze, and solve technical issues that arise during construction, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline and budget.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control procedures to ensure the construction work meets or exceeds standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and coordinate testing of materials and workmanship as required.
- Materials Management: Coordinate the procurement, delivery, storage, and allocation of construction materials and equipment, ensuring availability when needed and minimizing wastage.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols on the construction site, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and provide safety inductions and training to site personnel.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on construction progress, budget, issues, and resolutions. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including change orders, inspection records, and correspondence.
- Liaison and Communication: Act as the primary technical point of contact for architects, consultants, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and resolution of concerns.
