Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and technically sound Project Manager - Mechanical to lead mechanical shutdown and maintenance projects within the Oil & Gas sector. This is a non-construction role, focused on operational maintenance, fabrication, and equipment revamps during shutdowns and turnarounds.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, including lip seal welding, and hands-on experience working with pressure systems such as furnaces, heat exchangers, and piping networks. You must be proficient in working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials, and capable of leading cross-functional teams in high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end mechanical shutdown and maintenance projects within Oil & Gas facilities.
• Supervise and coordinate welding and fabrication activities, with a focus on lip seal welding and compliance with industry codes.
• Oversee refurbishment and revamp of major mechanical equipment including furnaces, heat exchangers, and pressure systems.
• Manage shutdown-related piping works, ensuring quality, safety, and technical integrity.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, procurement, and site teams to ensure alignment across all phases.
• Develop detailed project schedules, allocate manpower and resources, and track project progress.
• Perform risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable standards such as ASME, AWS, ISO, and client-specific requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
