Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Mechanical Project Manager to lead large-scale, complex Oil & Gas plant piping projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects valued over USD 350 million, with extensive hands-on experience in site execution. You will be responsible for the overall project direction, completion, and financial outcome, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities

• Overall Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the entire project lifecycle, from mobilization through commissioning and handover.
• Project Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor progress against key milestones and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, senior management, and subcontractors. Manage expectations and ensure clear communication at all levels.
• Financial Management: Oversee the project's P&L, including cost control, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure the project remains within the approved budget.
• Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a large, multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, superintendents, and supervisors.
• Contract Administration: Administer the main contract and all subcontracts, including handling variations, claims, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• HSE & Quality Assurance: Champion a "Zero Harm" safety culture. Ensure strict adherence to all company and client HSE policies, procedures, and regulations. Uphold the highest standards of quality control throughout the project.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to cost, schedule, safety, and quality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Project Specifics: Must have directly managed at least one major plant piping project with a value of USD 350 Million or more, involving a minimum of 100,000 Inch Diameter of piping.
• Site Expertise: Extensive site-based experience is non-negotiable.

Skills & Competencies

• Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
• Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI).
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong financial acumen and contract management skills.
• Fluent in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
