Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of substation and power projects in line with contractual obligations and company standards. Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring cost control and timely delivery. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical and operational challenges. Manage project documentation, reporting, and contractual correspondence with clients, consultants, and authorities. Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, utility regulations, and project specifications. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain strong working relationships and resolve issues proactively. Lead project risk assessment, mitigation planning, and problem-solving initiatives. Monitor HSE and QA/QC standards to ensure safe and compliant project execution. Provide leadership and direction to project teams, mentoring staff and fostering a culture of accountability and performance. Conduct progress reviews, prepare detailed project reports, and present updates to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred). 10-15 years of progressive experience in EPC project management, with at least 5 years in managing substation or power transmission projects in the UAE/GCC. Proven track record of successfully delivering high-voltage substation (132kV/220kV/400kV) or power infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of electrical design, protection, control, and commissioning requirements. Excellent knowledge of UAE regulations, utility authority procedures, and permit/NOC processes. Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6/MS Project) and MS Office applications. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. PMP/Prince2 or similar project management certification is an advantage. Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an added benefit.
