Project Manager (Electrical Engineer)

Position Summary:

The Project Manager (Electrical Engineer) is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing electrical engineering projects within deadlines and budget. This role combines project management skills with deep technical expertise in electrical systems to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions across various phases of project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from initiation to completion. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, and resource allocation. Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to ensure project milestones are met. Oversee the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and documentation. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards (e.g., IEC, NEC), and safety regulations. Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for stakeholders. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control across project phases. Manage procurement of electrical materials and liaise with vendors and suppliers.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Proven experience (5+ years) in managing electrical engineering projects. Project Management certification is a plus. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems. Proficient in project management tools and software. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safety standards. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in [industry-specific fields such as construction, power generation, renewable energy, industrial automation]. Familiarity with AutoCAD, ETAP, or other electrical design software. Experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
