Emirates Electrical Engineering is a specialized business platform that provides comprehensive turnkey solutions combining development, financing, construction and operation of solar rooftops for commercial and industrial building in the UAE, also a responsive and flexible organization dedicated for the design and construction of turnkey electrical power projects such as High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks and Transmission Lines.
Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of a project manager is to manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope and to monitor or track project milestones and deliverables. The incumbent is accountable for the completion of the project from initiation and development to execution and follow-up, thereby helping the organization to meet established goals
Job Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management

• Responsible for overall strategic planning of the project to ensure timely delivery of the project.
• Oversee the project performance with regards to time, cost, HSE and ensure timely delivery of project by meeting quality standards.
• Establishing Necessary Contractual correspondence with Client on the delays and cost impact on the project.
• Direct or coordinate with suppliers and contractors for Design and Manufacturing related activities.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and statutory authorities on getting necessary clearances / approvals / permissions on drawings and materials in order to meet the project timelines.
• Participate in the negotiations for contract finalization with project stakeholders.
• Assist, review and coordinate the creation, submission and clearance of invoices and monitor the budget and project Cash flow at regular intervals.
• Direct or coordinate design, installation and commissioning of the Electrical EHV Substation & Solar PV Plant System with engineering, safety, facilities, and production personnel to ensure timely delivery of the project and compliance with specifications or customer requirements.
• Direct or coordinate with construction firms involved in building structure and fabrication firms for the Solar Carport & Roof Structures.
• Supervise and assign duties to site manager/supervisors/technicians engaged in technical installation and commissioning of the project.
• Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements, financial reports and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Assess cost effectiveness of machinery, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.

Project Coordination Activities

• Generate and update project progress reports, planned value, invoice projection and cash flow projection and follow up on the same.
• Tracking of the project schedule and preparation and submission of weekly Progress reports to client, project manager and the internal teams.
• Plan and schedule meetings with vendors, design team, site team, sub-contractors and attend client monthly progress meetings, consultant/management meetings.
• Conduct periodic internal team progress review meeting on weekly basis and document how the project will be executed, monitored and controlled.
• Confer with Site managers, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates and project plan changes.

Safety Related Activities:

• Inspect workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.

Human Relations and Professional Development:

• Work with site managers, Design Manager, Commissioning Managers, HSE officer, site engineers and technicians to ensure high-performance, service oriented work environment that supports achieving company objectives, values and strategic plan.
• Ensure the professional development of staff within the team to ensure they keep abreast of technical developments, relevant regulations and industry best practice.

Associated tasks

• Study the best practices in similar industries and adopt those applicable.
• Advising the management on effective Project planning systems/relevant systems as appropriate

Job Requirements
Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed institution.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is desired.
• PMP and Primavera Certification is desired

Experience

• Must have minimum 8 to 10 years of work experience in the power transmission and distribution company, including at least 5-8 years of managerial experience.
• Should be in a position to handle projects consisting of Installation & Integration Solar PV Panels, Inverters, LV panels and associated carport / roof top steel structure works.

Knowledge & Skills

• Must possess organizational and project management skills as well as the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with contractors, site staff, third party suppliers and clients.
• Ability to negotiate and maintain client relationships
